The Intellectual Property Management Center (IPMC) is slated to launch the second edition of the Benilde IP Rights Policy Handbook (SY 2018-2021) and the beta version of the IPMC website on 29 October 2018 at Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle.

The Benilde Intellectual Property Rights Policy was approved in 2015 and established the IPMC under the then Office of the President and Chancellor, to administer the policy and manage intellectual properties created in and through the College. In 2016, the IPMC transitioned to the Office of the Chancellor. The second edition integrates the organizational changes and harmonizes with the institutional policies issued after the first edition.

To complement the handbook, the beta version of the IPMC website is also introduced. The website serves as a one-stop shop for all IP matters – online repository for policies and IP teaching materials, online portal for IP inquiries and complaints, submission of IP disclosures, and requests for clearances. The site also serves as a gallery for student and faculty projects.

Atty. Josephine Santiago, Director General of the Intellectual Property of the Philippines is expected to grace the launch as guest of honor.
