On 14 February 2019, the Intellectual Property Management Center (IPMC) led a two-sessions activity with the Benildean Community on the intellectual property and the social media talk entitled, “IP Proof your Social Media”

In this digital age, numerous contents may be taken in just a click on the internet. How certain are we that these contents are free from infringement or not making ourselves a violator of IP?

Atty. Ma. Janice R. Tejano, director of IPMC, shared her knowledge about different IP tips on the Internet, particularly in social media. She discussed the different kinds of intellectual property in the digital age that can be used to leverage the social media visibility; its protection against possible improper exploitation; and being responsible netizens when it comes to respecting IP of others.

In one of the sessions, Ms. Patch Kapunan, Student Council President of College of Saint Benilde, shared her social media practices among her schoolmates, and peers. She also shared some of her social media etiquette in posting contents.

The event is free and open to the Benildean community. Students, faculty, and associates from different programs and offices attended the said event. The event is CSB Life Accredited.
