Last August 19, 2019, the College of Saint Benilde was formally welcomed by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) network during the President's Summit held at the Mayuri Ballroom of Dusit Thani, in Makati City. The ITSO network is composed of 95 members comprising of state colleges and universities, higher education institutions, and research and development organizations from all over the Philippines.

The ITSOs receive technical training and guidance from the IPOPHL, enabling the ITSOs to develop an IP policy and set-up their intellectual property or technology transfer offices, and to teach and perform patent-related services (i.e., patent search, patent drafting and patent filing) for its own institution, as well as partner communities and organizations as external clients.

With its accreditation into the ITSO network, the Benilde Intellectual Property Management Center  (IPMC) established in 2015, is now known as "Benilde Intellectual Property Management Center, an IPOPHL-accredited ITSO", led by Atty. Ma. Janice Tejano as ITSO Manager. Benilde attended its first ITSO General Assembly last Sept. 05 and 06, 2019 at the Our Lady of Fatima University in San Fernando, Pampanga.

As an ITSO and aside from delivering patent-related services, Benilde IPMC will conduct enhanced IP awareness seminars and trainings, and lead collaborative programs and activities focused on innovation and intellectual property across disciplines in the College of Saint Benilde, with the end goal of growing Benilde's IP portfolio to include filings for patent, utility model and industrial design. At present, Benilde has 60 trademarks registered with the IPOPHL and managed by the IPMC.
