To engage students, faculty and associates to apply intellectual property best practices in their creative endeavors, the Intellectual Property Management Center (IPMC) under the Office of the Chancellor launched creative contests in Photography, Short Film, Design, and Logo design. The contests, which revolves on the World IP Day theme for this year, “Reach for Gold: IP and Sports”, will run from March 11 to March 30, 2019. Entries should be original and must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

Every April 26th of the year, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)  leads the commemoration of the World Intellectual Property Day, and encourages individuals, organizations and institutions including schools to participate in the global celebration of IP awareness and best practices in their localities.

A cash price awaits the winning entry in every category, plus legal and financial support from the IPMC in filing intellectual property protection for their work. Outstanding works will also have the opportunity to be included in the World IP Day map of WIPO.
